How to Prepare a Packaging Brief for a Supplier
The core information that helps a packaging supplier respond with relevant, production-ready directions from the start.

A useful packaging brief does not need to be a finished technical specification. It needs enough context to guide the first decisions and avoid irrelevant proposals.
Describe the product and market
Share the formula type, target customer, market position and countries in which the product will be sold.
Define the practical constraints
Estimated quantity, target timing, budget direction and preferred format all affect what can be sourced or developed.
Provide references carefully
Reference images are useful when they explain proportion, function, finish or dispensing experience. Clarify what you like about each reference.
Identify the open questions
State what is already decided and where supplier input is needed. This creates a clearer path to sampling.
